DR. JERRY GOLDFARB
Dr. Goldfarb was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He received his DVM degree form Texas A&M in 1967. Dr. Goldfarb served as a captain in the US Army Veterinary Corps from 1967-1972. He was stationed at Ft. Myer and the Marine Corps Base Quantico, Both in Virginia, and was assigned as Base Veterinarian for AFCENT in Brunsomm, The Netherlands.
Upon his return to the states in 1972, Dr. Goldfarb began working at the Carbone Animal Hospital in Arlington, VA, Where he stayed until 1974 when he became employed at the Fairfax Animal Hospital. He purchased the practice in the mid-1980's and has proudly watched it flourish into the thriving clinic it is today.
Dr.Goldfarb is a life-long member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). He is also a member of the Northern Virginia Veterinary Medical Association and the DC Academy of Veterinary Medicine. Dr.Goldfarb is one of the founding associates of the Emergency Clinic of Northern Virginia, now called The hope Center for Advanced Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Goldfarb and his wife, Adrienne, have two children, Matthew and Stephanie, and two dogs Stella and Shelby. Dr. Goldfarb has a great love of the outdoors. He is a 20 year veteran volunteer for the Snowshoe Mountain Resort Ski Patrol in West Virginia. In the remaining months of the year, he tries as frequently as possible to partake in his passion for fly fishing.
DR. KAYLEEN GLOOR
Dr. Gloor is local to the Washington DC area, and was born and raised in Springfield, Virginia. She received her veterinary degree from Virginia Tech. After completing her veterinary degree, she did a small animal internship in medicine and surgery at a 24-hour emergency/referral hospital in Gaithersburg, Md. Her internship had a strong focus in emergency medicine and critical care, but she also worked with internal medicine, surgery, oncology, ophthalmology, critical care, and neurology specialists at the hospital. Dr. Gloor came to work at the Fairfax Animal Hospital in 2008.
Dr. Gloor enjoys playing both indoor and beach volleyball, swimming, hiking, and camping. She is currently working on a MS degree in public health microbiology and emerging infectious diseases at George Washington University. When she graduates, she would like to work with diseases that are transmitted from animals to Humans and have an impact on public health, especially in third world countries. Dr. Gloor and her boyfriend, Chris, share their home in Arlington with two dogs, Kasey and Henry, and two cats, Emma and Pickles.
DR. TERRY POLLOCK
Dr. Pollock went to Texas A&M University. In 1986 she graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Science. In 1989 she was a graduate of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Pollock has been working at Fairfax Animal Hospital part time since 2002.The days that she is at the hospital varies.
DR. NATASHA UNGERER
Dr. Ungerer is a native of western New York. Growing up, she always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian, and is now thrilled to be part of this wonderful profession. She obtained her DVM degree from North Carolina State University, and her Bachelor's degree in biology from Sweet Briar College in Virginia. Following graduation from NC State she completed a one-year internship at a large referral/emergency hospital in Gaithersburg, MD. Her professional interests include internal medicine, ultrasound, cardiology, pain management, and routine wellness care.
Dr. Ungerer enjoys many outdoor activities, including horse-back riding, biking, hiking, playing tennis, and skiing. She also enjoys cooking and trying new restaurants. She lives in Bethesda with her husband, Jason, and their three wonderful pets: Nike, a Jack Russell Terrier, Azriel, a Siamese cat, and the newest addition, Dewey, an English Pointer.
